We think you deserve to know how a site that gives you security advice pays its bills. Here it is, in full.
How we make money
- Affiliate links. Some links to tools are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. We only ever add an affiliate link to something we'd genuinely use ourselves.
- Sponsored placements. From time to time a row or slot may be sponsored. When it is, we label it clearly as sponsored. We never present paid placement as independent editorial.
- Our own products. Some recommendations are Blankitt products (such as Blankitt DMARC and Blankitt GRC). These are marked with a Blankitt tag so you always know it's us.
The rule we don't break
Money never buys a recommendation. We choose what to feature on the merits, for the audience it's meant for. If something is worth recommending but pays us nothing, we still recommend it; if something pays well but isn't good enough, it doesn't appear. A commission or sponsorship changes none of that.
Why we disclose
Beyond it simply being the right thing to do, UK advertising rules (the CAP Code, enforced by the ASA) require affiliate and sponsored content to be clearly identifiable. We'd tell you anyway — trust is the whole point of a security newsletter.
